Mission Trip to TrinidadWhat a beautiful part of God's creation is Trinidad! The mountains rise up out of the sea in lush tropical green but the spiritual darkness of the island is deep. Almost evenly divided between Hindus and Muslims, Trinidad is wide open for ministry by the people of the only true and living God. We desperately need teams to do medical clinics, as well as construction on the medical clinic, and evangelism. Our missionary contact in Trinidad, Dr. Brian Lushington is convinced the only way we truly will ever reach the Muslims is to serve them first and preach to them later. Seems very similar to the method Jesus used as He went from town to town, doesn't it?

Text from Tom @ 7pm 06.22.2008We have arrived and are exiting now. All is good and ready to get some sleep. Thanks for prayer
Text from Tom @ 9:30pm 06.22.2008Please email all the team and make sure they know we are here...
Text from Tom @ 9am 06.25.2008Yesterday we worked on house and did a worship service last night.
All is good and God is working.
Update 06.23.2008Tom called around 5:30pm to let me know that they had a good day!
All 6 evangelism teams went out this morning and many seeds were planted. Natalie Best was able to lead a 60 year old man to the Lord!!!! Tom said you could see the tears streaming down his face as he accepted Him.
They went to an orphanage after lunch and did demo work for at least 3 hours (I think thats what he said!) They were able to push a whole wall down with all of their combined body weight! They did demo work in the kitchen as well. They plan to put a new floor in the kitchen tomorrow.
He wanted to make sure everyone knew that they were doing well....all is well.
Update 06.25.2008Tom says that they've had 4 more people get saved!!! Sarah Thompson was able to lead 2 to the Lord while they were witnessing at a mall this morning. They were able to present their drama tonight....outside in the rain. Larry McWhorter and Sarah Thompson were each able to lead 1 to the Lord after the drama this evening.
They have been working on an orphanage house. Tom said there are about 27 children in this 2-bedroom house. They have been able to extend the living room and add another room onto the house. They are done with the painting except for the 2nd coat in one room. They have also been laying down ceramics and will work on that also tomorrow.
Tomorrow they plan to visit a monastary and spend at least an hour in prayer there in the morning. Around 11am they will leave and go to a weekly Excorsicm Service from noon to 2pm. Please be in prayer especially around 11am to 1pm our time as they will possibly be around demonically-possessed people at this service.
Text from Tom @ 06.27.2008All was good yesterday. Nothing happened at service yesterday. We went to cool off at beach yesterday and ate Pizza Hut last night. We went to a steel drum concert just for us last night. Today we're at the orphanage and then we'll put on a concert tonight.
